0511 Sleep Profiles in Children with 22q Deletion Syndrome: A Study of 100 Consecutive Children seen in a Multidisciplinary Clinic

Abstract Introduction While previous studies have suggested a high prevalence of sleep disorders in children with 22q deletion syndrome (22qDS), they were limited by potential selection bias. In the current investigation, we assessed characteristics 100 consecutive presenting to multidisciplinary clinic. Methods Chart review 22qDS clinic was performed. Children aged 2 17 years age included, and data abstracted including (sleep history, Childhood Sleep Habits Questionnaire [CSHQ], free response questions), comorbid medical conditions, demographics. Results Overall, included analysis, 85% whom had scores on CSHQ consistent clinically meaningful disorder. problems common all domains CSHQ, daytime sleepiness (66%), onset delay (54%), parasomnias (52%), night wakings disordered breathing (49%), duration (45%), bedtime resistance (38%), anxiety (33%). Overall score significantly associated behavioral speech (F(2,97) = 10.4, p <0.001, adjusted R2 0.16). The most interventions reported be helpful for parents (routine, story), environmental (light avoidance at night, calming music), pharmacologic (melatonin, clonidine). Conclusion These confirm large, unselected sample 22qDS, suggest an important relationship between dysfunction challenges.
